     Mr. Rodney (Rod) Miller, CPPM, CF


Rod Miller is the President and CEO of RAM Asset Management Consulting Services, LLC. He has over 31 years experience in asset and supply chain management from acquisition to disposition. He received his BS in Business Administration from Georgia Southwestern State University at Americus, Georgia.

Prior to his entrance into the business world, Rod served in the United States Marine Corps . He acted as Unit Supply Officer at the Battalion and Squadron level for both ground and aviation units including CONUS and OCONUS. Rod also:
• Served as Operations Officer of Fleet Stock Account in support of all Fleet Marine Forces, Pacific.
• Converted the Fleet Stock Account to the sophisticated Supported Activities Supply System (SASSY) for the Third Force Service Support Group in Japan.
• Served as Branch Chief Marine Corps Logistics System Division for all Marine Corps Logistic Systems to include SASSY, base, and wholesale inventory control systems.
• Served on a joint tour with Defense Logistics Agency as Chief of Warehouse Division ONE, Defense Depot Memphis.
  o Directed over 525 civilians in the receipt, storage, preparation for shipment and outloading; packing, crating and marking of material and supplies for DLA, Armed Services, and other Federal Agencies.
  o Responsible for over 1,500,000 square feet of covered warehouse space.
  o Reduced personnel requirements by 4.9% and maintained over 99% accuracy for inventory.

Rod’s extensive experience includes integrated enterprise systems development, acquisition for asset management, inventory control, and introducing major cost savings. He has held senior government contract property management positions with DynCorp International, Bell Helicopter, Textron and Boeing. His wide-ranging job experience includes Federal Civilian Agencies, as well as DOD and commercial agencies. Additionally, Rod has worked with supply chain, material management, and purchasing in the commercial world with Citizens Communications.

Rod founded and is currently serving as the President of the Emerald Coast Chapter of NPMA at Fort Walton Beach, FL. He has conducted educational training and seminars at the local, regional, and national level for over 25 years with NPMA. He is an active member of National Contract Management Association (NCMA).

Rod is a member of the ASTM International Standards E53 Executive Committee and Chairman of E53.04 Reutilization and Disposal Subcommittee. He is a member of the US TAG on ISO 55000 developing ISO standards for Asset Management, and a member of the Office of Secretary of Defense (OSD) Government Furnished Property Working Group.

During Rod’s service in the United States Marine Corps, he received the Navy Commendation Medal for the implementation of the Supported Activity Supply System (SASSY) to support all the Marines in the Fleet Marine Forces, Pacific. For his service with Defense Logistic Agency at the Defense Depot Memphis, Rod received the Defense Meritorious Service Medal for vast improvement in warehouse operations, performance measurements, and increased productivity for Defense Depot Memphis.

During his tenure as a government contractor, Rod has received numerous awards recognizing his major cost savings and system enhancements for asset management systems for Government Contract Property Management, resulting in millions of dollars saved . In September of 1998, he was recognized by the Vice President of the United States for his work with the Department of Energy (DOE) Process Improvement Team on the DOE Reportable Excess Automated Property System (REAPS), which resulted in major system enhancements and cost savings for all of the DOE.
